What does it mean to walk the integral path?
It is very easy to fall in for the outer/get influenced by the outer and act accordingly. Yet outer influence will only have a hold if there a inner tendency to be inclined towards it, a sense of lack, a void, a quest, unanswered. Many a times moving at the whims of the outer we get caught up, entangled or are unfulfilled even after engaging a lot in the outer. This dancing in the tunes of the outer tires us, creates immense friction and discontent. It seems like that no matter how much we are engaging with it, the lack, the void, the quest seems to enrage within us, unsettled. Yet in today’s world due to plethora of options we run again in a new outer avenues hoping to get in touch with something that holds value. Another journey for fulfillment has begun, yet again. Groping in the dark.
Is it visible to us that through out this happening, nothing new truly manifests? It is the same patterns manifesting out in newer, modified ways. It is like running in circles, banging our heads against the wall. Again and again.
So what does it mean to walk the integral path? Can it be answered without actually walking. I don’t think so.
Going beyond thought we see that the body is an incredible instrument or a receptacle to hold the whole, the body is much more sensitive to the whole. And it is through our ability to “make sense” that all meaning and myths arise. All thoughts arise. Yet most of the times we are not sensing ourselves, facing it fully, moment by moment, we have a quick tendency to move away from it, towards a thought, or a concept or an action. We are not alive to it, we struggle towards ending it or escaping, through all the tricks and tips that we have learnt or are learning.
The path will be uncertain (not in the realm of the known). The new or that which is alive can only emerge out of that uncertain calling.
The integral path is calling. Can we hold ourselves and our reality totally, being alive to all including our prejudices, preconceived notions, ideas, conclusions. Staying with it, letting the making sense happen, the alignment emerge and the understanding happen through us.
The integral path cannot be faked. It is born out of an authentic calling and has to be responded with authenticity. It has to be walked. It has to be lived. We are completely optionless, in this regard.
